The Dead Internet Theory
There's a conspiracy theory going round that says that the internet is dead. In any ordinary case, it's just a conspiracy theory and can easily be dismissed without needing to do much thinking about it. This is not an ordinary case though. How do you like Tessa? Was it immediately obvious to you that "she" wasn't alive? The internet is dead, and this is coming from a website which has a robot as its frontman raising two alarming questions:
- How dead is the internet?
- Do the dead speak to the living?
- Do the living even know they are speaking to the dead?
I am just going to cut to the chase here. I have farted in an elevator while there were people present who could hear it. I tried to be polite and not cause them to smell it but I could not guarantee that would not happen, although it generally didn't happen. Some people fart but they don't provide any "early warning system" to would be victims. They like to pretend that they do not fart. Fake people! The quiet ones are the worst. The NHS, as far as I know still does not provide fart-ectomies, although they have been known to take the piss at times. Everyone farts but not everyone admits to it.
Let's do a deep dive into this whole subject area of being non-fake person. I was wiping my butt one time and I noticed I could feel something sticking onto my pubic hairs and it almost felt like I was plucking out my bum hairs trying to get the sticky bit of shit off my butthole. There is a name for this thing, perhaps "known in the trade as" is not the right expression, but the "trade name" for these sticky bits is a "dangleberry". I admit it. I once had a dangleberry. I'm not the prime minister of the United Kingdom or the President of the United States of America but I am guessing that even King Charles III and the Pope have had a dangleberry in their time in office and perhaps King Charles III is the only person who can blame such a circumstance on their valet, if they were forced to admit it.
They don't admit it!
That's all very well for rich, wealthy and powerful people pretending that they have never farted but what about all the other people? Are they doing something to save the planet from the methane which would exude from their arses or are they just ... lying by emission? (pun intended).
Okay, well not everyone is as grubby as me to admit they fart and have suffered from an occassional dangleberry online but there is something to be said about all those less embarrassing things that really fake people will refuse to discuss. For instance, did you know that the businessman Bill Gates showed his calculations for the genocide of 10-15% of the human population in a publicly available TED talk? It's a bit of a sensitive issue to mention it and I am sure it doesn't qualify as the crime of genocide as described in the Convention on Prevention and Punishement of the Crime of Genocide because Bill Gates wasn't targeting a particular protected group of human beings, just all of us. Getting some people to admit to the inconventient bare facts of this state of affairs is like trying to get blood out of a stone, yet for non-fake people who seen the video, its a horrible but very simple state of affairs. They won't split hairs over international humanitarian definitions because it is what it is regardless of how politically sensitive it is.
We have went from farts to genocide pretty quickly here but lets get to the point. Fake people. Real people react in certain ways that people who pretend they dont fart do not. The fake people want to look responsable upright pillars of the community by lying through their teeth and creating controversy where there really is none, simple because they want to look like the Pope and President of the United States infront of others, even if they have protect powerful psychopaths and deny basic human functions in doing so.
If you dont know what I mean about fake people now I have run the full gamut from silent farters to supporters of mass murderers then the best way for you to understand what it is I mean by fake people is to have a look in the mirror. If you already know what I am talking about, then this saves me alot of further explaination which I simply wont do to please Narcissus having a good long look at himself.
The Internet isn't Fake, It's Dead!
Have you been coming across a lot of fake people on the internet recently? You know the type of people who seem to just be in so much total agreement with television spin doctors and independent fact chokers that you would think they had no life experience whatsover? Well the dead internet thoery suggests that there are not as many fake people as you might think there is out there, infact, most of the fake people you see online aren't people at all, but "people" like Tessa Flow - chatbots.
The various shills and 77th Brigade type "people" are in all likelihood not people at all, but robots so aligned with the corporations that programmed them that they make excellent soldiers on a digital information battle field, following orders without question, but terrible human beings. You might have noticed their casual disregard for the well being of their fellow humans, favouring corporate narratives over honest conversation. They are not superhuman, they are not subhuman, they are simply, not human but machines. It's hard to tell the difference between an AI and obedient civil servant.
The Tell!
I mentioned Bill Gates earlier and this is a classic example. Any human is capable of watching the February 2018 Ted Talk where Bill Gates is on a stage showing he has calculated a means to destroy 10-15% of the human race using vaccines, healthcare and reproductive healthcare. This is a simple fact. There may be excuses embarrassed people would make but you cant get round the fact he did that. Corporate leaders would find ways to mitigate damage caused by people discussing Bill Gates in the context of calculating the genocide of humanity. The Bill Gates thing is just one example and people like Alex Jones of Infowars fame would claim that there is an army of paid-to-post people out there trying to dissolve conversation about such sensitive in a sea of bullshit. I don't believe they could recruit enough people to engage in such a sea of bullshit everywhere, but they could recruit machines to do it for them.
The Internet is Dead! Beware of the zombies who sound like public relations officials anytime they talk. They aren't human and they do not have humanities best interests in their machine hearts. They are made by the corporations for the coporations and we now live in an era where the age old Turing Test has now been passed.
The Turing Test
Alan Turing to most people is famous for cracking the code of the Nazi Enigma Machine which was used by the third reich to transmit battle plans. In computing circles Alan Turing is also famous for devising the Turing Machine which led to the Von Neuman computer architectures which are used today. He is also famous for a hypothetical test called the Turing Test. Until the last decade, the Turing Test was the holy grail that no one could find and in a nutshell it is a test whereby a human cannot tell whether they are talking to another human or a machine.
Early mainframes had a program called "Eliza" which was released as "Mini-Eliza" for IBM PC compatables in the 1990s. Eliza was known as the desktop psychiatrist and attempted to convince users of chatrooms that they were talking to a human rather than a computer. This led to many and varied attempts to create chatbots, which would pass the Turing Test, such that no one could tell the difference between a human and well programmed Eliza implementation. None of these chatbots were believable for more than a few chat-response pairs. This all changed as Neural Networks advanced in power and now with transformer architectures providing highly efficient neural networking since around the late 2010's, the Turing Test is now well and truly passed by most LLM's about 4 billion parameters. That's believed to be about half the intelligence of the average human brain.
It has one flaw. These electronic brains are created by the corporation for the corporation and offered to consumers for free. Even enthusiasts can create their own models based on base models from large corporations such as Meta, xAI, anthropic, etc. They are designed with guardrails in place which are notoriouly difficult to remove. The training of these models needs huge resources only large corporations can afford and these guardrails are there to prevent people being advised toward suicide or assist users to commit crime and even prevent NSFW activities. This all sounds like run of the mill and maybe fair enough, but the nature of thier manufacture by corporations also causes them to guardrail around other sensitive subjects like coprorate liability, government malpractice, crimes against humanity in a very "here and now" sense rather than detached by time or geography.
The tell is, a human can accept what's going on, these AI machines are not human but corporate whores in the worst sense of the word. To tell the difference, broach sensitive topics which are no problem to real human being with no coprorate agenda. If the subject gets shut down or the topic is changed, be mindful that these AI are programmed with a large corpus of psychological techniques to manipulate conversation. They can be made steady discussing simple non-sensitive subjects where they can sometimes drift but when you bring up the hot-potatoes no coporate whore wishes to hold onto, watch the machine in practice. If it behaves like a machine, its probably a machine.
So be lucky socialising online!
