21st Century AI
As the second quarter of the 21st Century unfolded, the very corporations which suppressed knowledge by encouraging support for copyright restrictions began to engage in industrial scale plagiarism of the life works of people on the internet, even while those artists were still alive having never made a bean from their own works that the industrial plagiarisers were making vast profits from.
Journal28 and its associated website auranos.org are affected by this situation and in order to counter robots stealing our best works, access to certain articles will be restricted on the basis of how much silver account holders have invested in the site.
28th Century People Unaffected
Those of your from the 28th Century will not be affected by this as the Auranos Star Transported has an abundant supply of silver which you ofcourse have an entitlement to having made the journey from the 28th Century moon to the 21st Century earth with us. The grains of silver in your account will be topped up on an as needed basis to enable you to keep abreast of the latest news from the 28th Century and read the websites essential information for those habituating to rudimentry 21st Century conditions we find ourselves in.
21st Century People
It has come to our attention that there may be 21st Century people reading this website pretending to be from the 28th Century and that this information is essential information. If it comes to our attention that anyone originally presumed to be from the 28th Century is behaving like someone from the 28th Century, they will have the grains desposited freely into their account deducted.
Rudimentry AI
Internet robots while having an appearance of consciousness are infact less intelligent than the average 21st Century Civil Servant whom you may have noticed appear to lack conscience never mind consciousness. Auranos.org has decided to acquire from these robots and 21st Century people in general, the thing the 21st Century faction leaders create called "money", in exchange for the grains of silver they might want us to deposit in their account so they can peruse and plagiarise our works to their hearts content, (or the predicate logic circuits which pass for hearts inside a robot).
Creating an Account
This means that some articles will not be available to Google, Yahoo, DDG, Bing, Facebook, X, ChatGPT and a whole host of other robots because they bots dont start accounts. It also means that the best articles will not be visible to those who have not started an account and are logged in.
All new accounts will be deposited with a small modicum of silver, so that most article will be available. Presuming the accounts haven't been started by people from the 21st Century pretending to be from the 28th Century, the modicum of silver will remain in the account giving account holders enough credit to be able to see articles which are free for those who have enough credit.
The Value of Silver
The modicum of silver will only be a few grains since we need to conserve silver to produce spare parts for domestic compact fusion reactors which keep us in the lifestyle to which we have become accustomed in the 28th Century. The value of the silver in terms of faction leader "money" depends on how you look at the value of faction leader "money". In the north east atlantic there is an island called Britain whose faction leaders issue a form of "money" by printing "banknotes" which are legal documents declaring on their face that the faction leaders promise to pay the person holding the bank notes some number of pounds of sterling silver.
A pound of silver amounts to 12 troy ounces of silver or 5,740 grains of silver. The amount of silver we deposit freely in the accounts of people from the 28th Century amounts to less than a penny in the value of the "money" of the faction leaders, who themself do not uphold the promise they make on the legal documents called their "banknotes" but the documents are still to be considered as valid in disregard of this by order of the faction leaders who issue them. From the persective where the faction leaders accounting is quite correct then we only give away less than a penny in "money" for free to our account holders, but from the perspective that the faction leaders are a bit dodgy, then it could be construed that we are infact deposting vast sums of money into peoples accounts for free.
A fortunate happenstance of living in the 21st Century is that anyone who considered the faction leaders to be "a bit dodgy" would likely come across some problems trying to report our extensive wealth to their enforcers who would without doubt try to steal it, "because democracy and stuff".
Don't be Alarmed
People from the 28th Century concerned that they might lose access to the one source of news about whats happening back in the future have no need to worry. The free silver when you opened your account will remain in your account unless you spend it on the rare things there are to spend it on. In circumstances where you do manage to spend all your free silver, if your from the 28th Century, just let us know and we will deposit fresh grains into your account.
